The Hero's Journey

AI has access to a lot of information about career paths, but it lacks the ability to understand the authentic life experience behind those paths, the story the evokes feeling. This led me to thinking about Joseph Campbell study of religious texts across the world, and how he uncovered underlying patterns. The "Hero's Journey" is the most well known of these patterns. I think there is something visceral about the "Heros Journey" framework, like its drilled into our subconscious or collective unconscious.

Robert Mckee, a renowned screenwriter, makes the case that storytelling also plays a vital role in business contexts and in our own personal experiences. I thought seeing my experience through this lens could help me better articulate my unique value and how my diverse experiences can contribute to future opportunities.You can hover over any segment of the wheel to read the story behind it.
