What I worked with:
AssetFlow
A workflow management tool for marketing asset approval that leverages Anthropic's API to analyze a digital asset, compare it to brand guidelines, and provide recommendations. Includes annotation capabilities so users can annotate on the digital asset itself.

What I worked on:
- 01Performed research on current marketing asset approval workflow tools, conducted user research with a marketing executive at a top Fortune 500 company to undesrtand the workflow steps and capabilities needed.
- 02Mapped out the key capabilitites and components necessary for creating an end to end solution and designed screens
- 03Developed and implemented a solution with an added feature of AI Review to improve productivity by using AI to analyze a digital asset and compare it a company's brand guidelines that is composed of rules from marketing, legal, compliance, and product/brand.
Project Ideation & Iteration

The Challenge
The problem to solve
The VP of Marketing at a global marketing agency with Fortune 500 clients wanted a way to streamline marketing asset approval workflows to account for the increasing complexity of managing and approving multiple types of digital assets.
Research & Approach
How I approached it
I started with mapping out the steps in the workflow and then drawing out all of the different tools and content types associated as well as the roles and departments involved in the approval process. Since marketing, legal, compliance and branding/product typically have standardized requirements, I thought it would make sense to create brand guidelines that incorporated all of these rules. To increase efficiency, AI could then be used to analyze the asset, compare it to the rules in brand guidelines, and then flag any mismatches. I then worked with Claude Code to create a working prototype and brainstorm additional improvements AI could add to the marketing asset approval process.

Lessons Learned
- 01
For this project, I prioritized the basic design and getting the functionality right instead of perfecting how I wanted the design to look. Although I am glad I completed a working prototype, it felt like because the UI was underwhelming, the tool lost some of its power.
- 02
I learned that to create a great product, you must put an equal emphasis on both design and functionality and how sometimes I prioritize one over the other
